Oregon Rain Harvesting

SWCD Branded Separator

It is clear that droughts are becoming the new normal, wells are drying up and city water is increasing expensive, so what’s the solution?

Sustainability

Oregon Rain Harvesting is the Northwest’s leader in designing and installing systems for on-site rainwater collection and storage. We are licensed General and Plumbing Contractors who have built rain harvesting systems for over 15 years. We are nationally certified experts in design and installation by the American Rainwater Collection Systems Association.

Our Belief

Overindulgence in water not only adds demand to our aging public water systems, it adds unnecessary stress on our river systems, tributariestributary A river or stream flowing into a larger body of water. and aquifers. While Oregonians are justifiably proud of our progress towards sustainability, water has been overlooked. Rainwater Harvesting is a safe and cost-effective method of reducing the environmental impact of our thirst for water.

Is it Legal to Harvest Rainwater in Oregon?

The short answer is YES!  Oregon laws are friendly towards collecting and using rainwater for both potable and non-potable uses. With proper filtration and purification, rainwater can be used throughout your entire home, including as drinking water.

Other Considerations

Rain harvesting systems add value to any property.  They can be installed below or above ground.  Systems can be connected to any irrigation system. Rainwater is better for plants as it is more bioavailable to root systems.   Both potable and irrigation systems provide our customers water security.
