Join the Forest Stewards Guild, Tualatin Soil & Water Conservation District, and Oregon Department of Forestry to learn about managing forests with Western Oregon birds in mind.

Working from the newly published Forestry For the Birds guidebook, this outdoor event will cover:
- Bird habitat preferences
- Forest types of Western Oregon
- How to identify understoryUnderstory The layer of plants that exists closer to the ground under large trees. plants
- Key forest bird species of the region
- How to apply management practices that support these birds
This event is intended for woodland caretakers including landowners and forest managers. It has been approved for 3 SAF (Society of American Foresters) Credits.
