Hillsboro El Grito Festival

Centro Cultural is honored to host this event, presented by the City of Hillsboro. This family-friendly event will feature mariachi, and ballet folklorico performances, Latin American gastronomy, artisanal vendors, a car show, community resources, and much more. El Grito is a historic Mexican event commemorating Mexico’s cry for independence, as well as the independence of six other Latin American countries: Chile, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua. Today, Centro hosts El Grito festival to also celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month and the Latino diaspora. The event is full of live entertainment, community partners, artisanal vendors, hands-on activities and sports, a car show, and much more.
