Making & Maintaining Healthy Pasture 3 part workshop
February 22, 2021 @ 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm
February 22nd, 23rd, and 24th from 6 – 9pm.
Livestock nutritionist and forage specialist, Woody Lane, PhD, will join Tualatin SWCD for a three-part workshop that will take a practical, scientific look at grazing and pasture management. This free, virtual workshop will discuss the principles of good grazing, ways to improve your pastures, forage types, evaluating pasture health, conducting soil tests, using fertilizer appropriately, and more. This series is appropriate for both new and veteran managers of all types of livestock.
The course structure builds upon topics to provide a holistic understanding of pasture systems. For this reason, it is critical that participants attend every session of this series. If you are interested in attending but have a conflict that prevents you from attending the entire series, please contact Annie Bronez before registering.
