Naturescaping: Site Design Workshop

May 6 @ 10:00 am – 2:00 pm

Group creating a naturescaping site design
Creating a design plan helps incorporating naturescaping practices into your space.

Are you ready to start a naturescaping project but need a little help designing your space? Join this free workshop to practice creating a site design!

This workshop is best-suited for people who have attended a Naturescaping: Basics webinar or have a good understanding of the principles of naturescaping.

Naturescaping is a landscape design practice that uses simple techniques to mimic nature and welcome wildlife. This practice saves you time, money, and energy – all while providing a beautiful habitat for birds, wildlife, and you. The practice focuses primarily on incorporating native plants into your yard, garden, or community space. By creating a site design, you’ll have a step-by-step guide to transforming your space.

Topics include:

  • Tools & techniques for assessing and designing your site
  • Assistance in selecting the right plant for the right place
  • Practice creating a site design map

This workshop will include indoor presentations and hands-on activities. Please dress for the weather and anticipate walking on uneven ground. Lunch, beverages and light snacks will be provided.

We have reached capacity for this workshop. If you’d like to be added to a waiting list, please email education@tualatinswcd.org
