Urban Forests For the Birds in Western Oregon
May 19, 2023 @ 8:00 am – 11:30 am
Join the Forest Stewards Guild, Portland Audubon, and West Multnomah Soil & Water Conservation District to learn about forestry for Western Oregon Birds.
Working from the newly published Forestry For the Birds guidebook, this outdoor event will cover:
- Bird habitat preferences
- Forest types of Western Oregon
- How to identify trees and plants
- Priority bird species of the region
- How to apply management practices in an urban forest
You do not need to be an expert birder for this outing or a forest landowner. Just bring your curiosity, willingness to share, and if you have them, binoculars. We will have coffee and cake for the early bird, so we hope to see you bright and early at the Portland Audubon Wildlife Sanctuary!
