Project Information:

Several tributariesTributary A river or stream flowing into a larger body of water. join Butternut Creek on its journey toward the Tualatin River. These important streams help provide habitat for wildlife and help clean water as it moves across the land. View the Map

We are working closely with the Cross Creek Homeowner’s Association (HOA) and the Deline HOA in Beaverton to enhance the greenspaces surrounding the tributaryTributary A river or stream flowing into a larger body of water. that flows through their neighborhood. We’ve removed invasive species clogging the waterway, helped the community draft a landscape design, and planted native trees and shrubs to create wildlife habitat. This work is part of a larger restoration effort that includes the natural spaces along Butternut Creek.

Help us gauge the impact of this project by recording an wildlife observation from your community’s greenspace.

The effort is a partnership between the Backyard Habitat Certification Program, Clean Water Services, Friends of Trees, and Native Plantscapes NW.
