Habitat Program Coordinator
(503) 467-9565
Bethany is a Portland native who uses her love for plant biology to lead the Habitat Restoration Program. She employs data and technology to conserve natural resources and important habitats within the Tualatin River watershed. Working closely with Washington County landowners and community groups, she enjoys using data to tell the stories of the ecosystems she grew up in.
Bethany has biology degrees from Oregon State University and Arizona State University and practiced her skills around the country as an AmeriCorps volunteer. Before joining Tualatin SWCD, she monitored and controlled harmful weeds in Clark County as an Invasive Species Program Coordinator.
If she’s not road tripping with her dog and partner, she is likely caring for houseplants and tending to her vegetable garden.
