Charlotte works to increase awareness of natural resources conservation by delivering educational workshops, creating outreach materials, and engaging with community members. She coordinates Tualatin SWCD’s grant programs and helps groups work through the application process.
In school, Charlotte studied environmental science and geography. Her graduate work involved researching restoration methods in the oak savanna ecosystem, allowing her to spend time in one of the Willamette Valley’s most endangered habitats. Her previous jobs involved conserving wetlands, monitoring threatened plants, and teaching college ecology courses.
As a lifelong resident of Oregon, Charlotte has a deep love for the region’s forests, valleys, and rivers. She enjoys kayaking, photographing native plants, searching for wetland amphibians, and finding delicious treats at local bakeries.
