Habitat Conservation Specialist
(503) 953-4352
Mike likes planting trees, but he prefers to sit back and let the beavers do the work. He spends his days traveling around rural Washington County to manage habitat improvement projects on private lands. He helps landowners design and implement projects that make their little piece of Earth healthy and hospitable for wildlife and humans throughout the Tualatin River watershed.
Mike enjoys collaborating with a wide range of landowners, contractors, and community partners to create thriving landscapes. After many years spent traveling around the Pacific Northwest and overseas for field work and college, he now resides in Forest Grove with his wife and two kids. He has planned, managed, and developed habitat restoration projects within the Tualatin basin since 2011.
Mike enjoys exploring the Pacific Northwest, discovering when he is wrong, and finding opportunities to work with purpose.
