Habitat Conservation Specialist
(971) 330-0902
Although she grew up in Arizona’s hot and rugged Sonoran Desert, Sam feels better suited to the cool and misty Pacific Northwest. Plants and wildlife delight her, and she enjoys sharing this passion with the residents she partners with as a Habitat Conservation Specialist. Working with the Habitat Conservation team, she manages projects that improve water quality and support both wildlife and people.
Sam received a B.S. in Wildlife Conservation and Management at the University of Arizona. Her habitat restoration background took root in Washington County in 2014. Over the years, she gained extensive knowledge of the Tualatin River watershed while working with public parks, private consulting firms, and the Tualatin River Watershed Council.
Sam loves to explore Oregon’s natural wonders and spends her free time learning how to fish and hunt. She also enjoys stumbling upon new ice cream flavors (oops!) and spending time with friends.
